Teaneck Creek Conservancy Volunteers
Join the dedicated volunteers at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy and reap the rewards of investing in your park. We offer a variety of park stewardship and volunteer opportunities to fit your interests and schedule. Satisfaction guaranteed! Volunteer opportunities include:
Weed Warriors: Work alone or in a group and help the Conservancy maintain a invasive-free buffer zone on either side of its trails. Groups meet and work together on Wednesdays and Sunday mornings.
Wetlands Restoration Team:
Work under the guidance of Master Gardeners, Volunteer Leaders, and Wetlands Scientists from Rutgers University to restore and manage wetland areas within the park. Volunteers remove invasive vegetation and debris, and replant with indigenous native plantings.
Peace Labyrinth Gardeners:
Volunteer help is needed to plan, weed, and plant in the Conservancy’s Peace Labyrinth. Take the opportunity to work in a beautiful forest clearing that is dedicated to restoring your mind and spirit.
Assist Artists-in-Residence in cutting-edge projects. New projects in every season. Type of support varies with project. All efforts help create and maintain eco-art installations.
Special Event Support:
Assistance is always welcomed at Conservancy special events. Help out at information or activity tables. Talents working with families and young children a plus. Got writing skills? : Office staff always eager for help with press releases, grant writing, e-mail blasts, and blog updates.
Special Volunteer Days:
We welcome the participation of groups in our volunteer and stewardship programs. Corporate, community, school, service, or faith-based groups are always welcomed! Call the office to schedule a date.
