Community Science Saturday: Sensory Exploration

  • Teaneck Creek Conservancy 20 Puffin Way Teaneck, NJ, 07666 (map)

With June in full swing, are you curious about which plants are blooming and which wildlife are leaving tracks in the wild? Join us this June for an exciting sensory exploration experience, where you'll engage your senses—sight, sound, touch, and smell—as we explore the wonders of nature around us.

Explore TCC through the seasons on a walk with George Tsapellas and participate in community science by learning how to document what you see on your phone using iNaturalist or Seek. Each month will highlight a different part of the park, focusing on specific habitats and plants.

George is an avid user of iNaturalist and has been cultivating knowledge about local plants and wildlife for many years.

Prior to the program, install the iNaturalist app on your phone, create an account, and join Teaneck Creek Conservancy under “Projects”.

Seek by iNaturalist is available for younger participants.

Registration recommended.
All ages. Light rain or shine. Registrants will be notified by email if the program is canceled.

Some trail sections are challenging for strollers. No restrooms available.
