Join Eco Book Club hosted by Teaneck Creek Conservancy and Teaneck Public Library! Eco Book Club is a wonderful gathering of folks who share a love of nature and care for the earth. All are welcome to join in the friendly conversation at our monthly meetings or read along at home.

Unbowed: A Memoir is the autobiography of Kenyan environmental activist and Nobel Prize Wangari Maathai, detailing her life from her rural Kenyan childhood and education in the U.S. to her founding of the Green Belt Movement, clashes with the Kenyan government, and her eventual election to Parliament. The book chronicles her fight against deforestation, poverty, and political corruption, linking environmentalism with democracy and women's rights, and culminating in her 2004 Nobel Peace Prize.
