Weed Warriors are our standing volunteer group and a critical part of Teaneck Creek’s mission.

You can join the dedicated volunteers at the Teaneck Creek Conservancy and reap the rewards of investing in your park.

Weed Warriors: Help the Conservancy maintain a invasive-free buffer zone on either side of its trails and help maintain a park free of trash that flows in with rain events. Groups meet and work together on Wednesday mornings. Learn more about Weed Warriors:.

Group Volunteer experiences:

We welcome the participation of groups in our volunteer and stewardship programs. Corporate, community, school, service, or faith-based groups are always welcomed! Email volunteer@teaneckcreek.org to schedule a date. In your email please let us know the following:

  • When you were hoping to volunteer?

  • How many volunteers do you expect? 

  • How long a visit you'd anticipate (a few hours, half day, whole day)?

  • Any other planning considerations that would help us shape your experience.

Peace Labyrinth Native Plant Gardeners:

Volunteer help is needed to plan, weed, and plant in the Conservancy’s Peace Labyrinth. Take the opportunity to work in a beautiful forest clearing that is dedicated to restoring your mind and spirit. Email volunteer@teaneckcreek.org.

Social Media and Communication:

Got writing skills? Office staff always eager for help with press releases, grant writing, and our monthly correspondence, “In the Cattails”.  Contact us at volunteer@teaneckcreek.org if you have a particular skill set you are offering!

Special Event Support:

Assistance is always welcomed at Conservancy special events. Help out at information or activity tables. Talents working with families and young children a plus. Contact us at volunteer@teaneckcreek.org if you have a particular skill set you are offering!

Fycke Lane Garden Caretaker:

Volunteer help is care for our wetland garden in the Fycke Lane Outdoor Classroom. Take the opportunity to work a tranquil setting that often has dragonflies and orioles in the summer. Email volunteer@teaneckcreek.org.
