About Bird City: Adventures in New York’s Urban Wilds

Journalist Ryan Goldberg takes readers on a yearlong journey through all five boroughs of New York City, revealing the surprising abundance of birdlife thriving amid skyscrapers and subways. Inspired by his own “spark bird” moment, Goldberg explores how more than 400 species migrate through the city each year - more than in Yellowstone - and introduces the passionate community of urban birders who follow them.
