As July settles in, are you curious about which frogs are calling and where turtles might be basking? Join us this month for a guided nature walk as we explore the wetlands and search for signs of these fascinating creatures in their summer habitats.
Explore TCC through the seasons on a walk with George Tsapellas and participate in community science by learning how to document what you see on your phone using iNaturalist or Seek. Each month will highlight a different part of the park, focusing on specific habitats and plants.
George is an avid user of iNaturalist and has been cultivating knowledge about local plants and wildlife for many years.
Prior to the program, install the iNaturalist app on your phone, create an account, and join Teaneck Creek Conservancy under “Projects”.
Seek by iNaturalist is available for younger participants.
Registration recommended. All ages. Light rain or shine. Registrants will be notified by email if the program is canceled.
Some trail sections are challenging for strollers. No restrooms available.
