Ever wonder what insects are most active in August? Join us for a guided nature walk at Teaneck Creek as we search for butterflies, dragonflies, grasshoppers, and other buzzing, crawling, and fluttering creatures. Discover how these insects thrive in late summer and why they matter.
Explore TCC through the seasons on a walk with George Tsapellas and participate in community science by learning how to document what you see on your phone using iNaturalist or Seek. Each month will highlight a different part of the park, focusing on specific habitats and plants.
George is an avid user of iNaturalist and has been cultivating knowledge about local plants and wildlife for many years.
Prior to the program, install the iNaturalist app on your phone, create an account, and join Teaneck Creek Conservancy under “Projects”.
Seek by iNaturalist is available for younger participants.
Registration recommended. All ages. Light rain or shine. Registrants will be notified by email if the program is canceled.
Some trail sections are challenging for strollers. No restrooms available.
