Creekside Adventures Storytime

Join us for nature stories, adventures and fun activities with the Teaneck Public Library and TCC!  We’ll gather for a total of 6 classes so come for one or for all. Best for ages 4 and up with a caregiver.

Wear weather-appropriate clothing and shoes - trails may be muddy. And bring water shoes or boots if we go in the creek! Bring insect repellent and sunscreen if you choose. 

Additional program dates: July 1, 8, 15, 22, 29.

Meet at 74 Fycke Lane entrance.

Register with the library. Registration opens 4pm Monday, June 3rd.

Every Day is Earth Day (off-site)

Every Day is Earth Day is a celebration full of fun for the whole family hosted by the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission. Teaneck Creek Conservancy will have a table full of information and an earth friendly activity. There will be boat rides with the Hackensack Riverkeeper, fishing with the Hudson River Fishermen's Association, music, live animal shows, educational and informational tables, facepainting, food and activities for the children.

It’s sure to be a full day of fun all around!

No registration needed.
Rain or shine. 

Event will be held in the Ridgefield Park DPW garages if it rains.

Explore TCC through the seasons on a walk with George Tsapellas and participate in community science by learning how to document what you see on your phone using iNaturalist or Seek. Each month will highlight a different part of the park, focusing on specific habitats and plants.

George is an avid user of iNaturalist and has been cultivating knowledge about local plants and wildlife for many years.

On Saturday August 12, we'll be holding our final Investigating Nature with iNaturalist program led by Sandy Wolkenberg. We'll be very sorry to see Sandy go!

Sandy has been a staunch proponent of both Teaneck Creek and iNaturalist. She'll be leading a final session this Saturday to say goodbye to everyone, but also to pass the torch to another iNaturalist who will be taking up the program, George Tsapellas.

So be sure to join us on Saturday, August 12 at 10am to ensure this project lives on!

Learn how to contribute to community science efforts using your phone. Sandy Wolkenberg will lead a hands on workshop on how to document plants, birds and other nature beings who live at Teaneck Creek. BCAS Native Plant Walk

Join Bergen County Audubon Society & Teaneck Creek Conservancy as we explore what plants are flowering in July and which animals depend on them as we explore who is residing at Teaneck Creek this summer.

BCAS offers two walks monthly at the Conservancy. One walk is typically on the weekend and one during the week. Birders of all levels and interests are welcome to attend. BCAS will have additional guides on hand to help newer birders identify birds. Programs with BCAS are part of the Conservancy's year round suite of free public programs.
